For Elspeth this past October when she chartered one of Dragon Drascombe’s fine and well-equipped Luggers Katerina in the South Ionian Sea, it was to pick up tips on equipment and techniques.
This has resulted on her return to the U.K. in placing the order for a solid galvanised rudder and scrapping the hideous flip up blade’ rudder, which technically speaking would never work. Another bad Drascombe design to boot!!!
Nutmeg, her newly acquired Lugger in 2023 will have this Christmas a new Lazarette hatch, sprayed as close as we can get given the boat is over 40 years old, so it’s close.
Along with this, her name in black and gold graphics have been applied to the hatch and her Bow names supplied.
Nutmeg will be so happy to have these lovely additions ready for sailing in 2024.
Elspeth has requested to look at our fully varnished tiller and extension unit, this to complement our work on her pride and joy ‘Lugger Nutmeg’
Get prepared for 2024!!!
