Another review on our help and professional advice on fitting work .this evening . … be it from the Greek Ionian Sea!
This sets my standard at Just Lugger Joinery for product quality and customer service. It’s just the best!!
“Phil,
No problem but the issue was we didn’t have the engine with us and took the simple view that the more vertical the engine was the better it would be. In the past we have always run the motor in its lowest position (ie vertical), with packing to stop it hitting the body of the lugger.
Following the chat with you we have put the wedge back together so it is as originally supplied. Once I get the motor back we can look at which notch to use.
Once again thank you for the phone call and the advice. It is much appreciated. On the positive side the mounting is now firmly bolted in with stainless steel bolts and as solid a rock. I have treated it with teak oil and all looks good. I am happy!
I just need the engine back now and then it’s down to the sea. (Hopefully before the summer is over).
All the best and I will keep you updated.
John”
Looking forward to future updates on this from John. We have lots of “How To Do” posts on our website that have helped lots of people fit parts and do maintenance themselves. Check them out here.
